VOLUNTEERS
(Parents,
Grandparents, Siblings, Family Members, & Friends)
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer? Volunteers are needed in many areas for the
2007-2008 school year. We need
volunteers during school hours, after school hours, and to work at home. You can help when your schedule allows. You
will find PTA events and areas in the school that are in need of volunteers
listed on the VIE Sign-up form.
It is easy to become a volunteer:
1.
Fill
out the VIE Sign-up forms and return it to the school with your child.
2.
Read
the City Wide Guidelines (located in the office) and sign the Guideline form in
the front of the Volunteer Sign In Book (in the office).
3.
Attend the Volunteer Orientation in late
Sept. (tour the school work rooms and learn how to use copiers etc...).

CFES Volunteers are recognized and appreciated through- out
the year:
1.
By
signing in and out of the Volunteer Sign In Book, you will log your hours for
the whole year.
2.
When
you reach 25 volunteer hours you will receive a CFES lanyard and a
personalized ID badge.
3.
Each
month volunteers are nominated by CFES staff and one is chosen to be the Volunteer
of the Month. (designated
parking spot)
4.
Volunteers
will be nominated and one will be chosen for Volunteer of the Year for
CFES. As VOY your name will be put on the CFES
plaque, school marquee, and you will attend the city wide banquet
with Mr. Clement or Mrs. Hughes. You will also be nominated for city wide VOY.
5.
We
have a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast where everyone will receive a certificate. We also award volunteers with pins
for the lanyards. (Pins are given to anyone who volunteers 10 hours to over 200
hours).
